Level 1 ICF-Approved Coach Training Program for Law Enforcement
True resiliency in law enforcement is not delivered through one-time training—it is built by embedding professionally certified coaches within the department. The Elias Institute of Professional Coaching is an International Coach Federation (ICF)–approved training provider, delivering formal coach certification programs designed for high-stress, mission-critical environments.
By developing coaches from within your ranks, agencies create internal leaders equipped to support performance, emotional recovery, and decision-making under pressure. This approach strengthens leadership at every level, supports officer wellness and retention, and reduces long-term reliance on external providers—establishing a sustainable, integrated coaching capability that endures.
Building Internal Coaching Capacity Across Law Enforcement & First Responder Systems. To strengthen long-term resiliency infrastructure, Elias Institute is launching a structured pilot program designed to evaluate measurable impact, scalability, and sustainability across diverse public safety roles.
This pilot will train 350 participants across six strategic cohorts to create a layered resiliency leadership ecosystem that addresses the unique challenges facing law enforcement professionals in high-stress environments.

True organizational resilience cannot be built by one person or one role. The RLERC Pilot Program is designed as a full-system intervention — both internal and external coaches are critical components of that ecosystem.
When every layer of the system is trained and aligned — from the frontline leaders to the external coaching professional — resilience becomes self-sustaining across the entire department.
Purpose & Measurable Outcomes
Systems-Level Strategy
This pilot is designed not merely as a training initiative—but as a comprehensive systems-level resiliency strategy for law enforcement.
The Pilot Program Will Evaluate:
Measurable improvements in leadership capacity
Stress reduction indicators across departments
Hardiness development (Challenge, Control, Commitment)
Engagement and retention influence
Effectiveness of internal coaching culture development
The pilot program strategically trains 350 participants across seven specialized cohorts, creating a comprehensive resiliency leadership ecosystem tailored to law enforcement and first responder needs.
Primary Law Enforcement Cohorts

Organizational Impact
Increase employee engagement and satisfaction while supporting organizational wellness and reducing turnover in law enforcement agencies.
Closing the Resiliency Training Gap
In 2022, Walter Reed conducted a study identifying why resiliency programs weren't yielding anticipated workplace utilization, recommending a shift to a leadership and coaching approach to resolve the transfer of training gap. ***Referred to in the article as the Resiliency Training Gap.
Research shows these three factors positively contribute to transfer of training. When law enforcement agencies have formally trained coaches, they enjoy improved training utilization and increased success in implementing change initiatives throughout the organization.
